TERMS & CONDITIONS

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By scheduling service, approving a quote or allowing work to begin, the Client agrees to the following Terms & Conditions

Scope of Work
StumpGrinders will perform stump grinding and related services as outlined in the approved estimate or invoice. Work includes grinding the stump to a depth agreed upon in writing (typically 6-8 inches below grade level unless otherwise specified). Removal of large surface roots beyond 12–18-inch radius from the stump is not included unless specifically listed. Site Access & Preparation


Client agrees:

 

  • Provide clear access to the work area (minimum 36" gate access unless otherwise agreed).

  • Remove debris, rocks, fencing, metal edging, irrigation covers and other obstacles before arrival.

  • Ensure Pets & Children are secured away from the work area

StumpGrinders is not responsible for damage caused by hidden or unmarked obstacles.

​

Underground Utilities
Client must ensure all underground utilities are properly located and marked prior to service. StumpGrinders is not responsible for damage to:

 

  • Unmarked utility lines

  • Irrigation systems

  • Invisible fencing

  • Private electrical, gas or water lines

 

Clients are encouraged to contact Texas 811 before service.

 

Property & Surface Damage
Stump grinding is a heavy-equipment service and may cause:

 

  • Minor turf disturbance

  • Tire ruts in soft soil

  • Surface scratches on nearby concrete

 

While reasonable care is taken, StumpGrinders is not responsible for:

 

  • Sod repair or reseeding

  • Landscape restoration

  • Concrete cracks due to existing structural weakness

 

Wood Chips & Debris
Grinding produces wood chips and soil mixture. Unless haul-off service is purchased:

  • Chips will be left on-site

  • Client is responsible for disposal or redistribution

Haul-off must be requested in advance and will incur additional fees.

 

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Accepted forms of payment:

  • Visa, Master Card, AMEX, Discover (additional 3% service fee)

  • Check, Cash

  • Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month on unpaid balance

 

Commercial accounts: Terms must be agreed upon prior to service

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • 24-hour notice is required for cancellations

  • Same-day cancellations may result in a service fee

  • Weather delays are determined for safety reasons
